Is the Center for Children's Books materials collection a circulating collection?
We are a non-circulating collection. The collection is a research collection with an emphasis on contemporary works. We ensure that all materials are available to all patrons all the time - this means no materials leave the collection.
Can anyone use the Center for Children's Books?
The Center for Children's Books is primarily a research center for children's and youth services librarians, though scholars from many fields using children's literature come to the CCB. Researchers are always welcome.
Can I bring my children to the Center for Children's Books?
The Center for Children's Books is a research center and not a practicing library for children. Our patrons are primarily students and practitioners in the field of children's and youth services. We offer training programs for adults about programming for children, not actual programming or space for children.
